Super cozy and comfortable, we loved staying here during our trip. It was really spacious and well decorated, pretty much exactly like the photos. It's not too far of a drive to Lake Tekapo and the pies in town were amazing.

Grace was very helpful throughout our visit. House was more than we excepted👍

Man wohnt quasi mitten in der Natur und der Blick über den Wald ist wundervoll. Hier wurde ein kleines Refugium geschaffen mit all den selbstgefertigten Holz- und Handwerksarbeiten. Respekt! Wir haben die Natur und das Haus sehr genossen. Der Weg zum Haus ist tatsächlich etwas steiler und die Warnung nur leichtes Gepäck mitzunehmen sollte ernst genommen werden, da es keinen Lastenaufzug für schwere Koffer gibt.

Wow I don't even know where to begin. Lou and Dion were so warm and welcomed us into their house (which is situated on the farm). The highlight of our stay was the farm tour. Highly recommended for BOTH kids and adults. It's a separate fee of 250nzd at our time of stay and it was well worth it. Dion took us up to his farm up on his 4WD and we went up the mountains where the views are unparalleled and we could get up close and personal with the cows, sheeps, and his sheepdog as well. He shared personal experiences as well as interesting facts about the farm. This beats and commercial stay or visit to a farm. Lou was also very welcoming and helped us with everything we needed. We met with a situation where our car was in a ditch and Lou was so kind to send her nephews Isaac and Hamish to help tow us out of the situation. My family is extremely grateful for their help and hospitality. If you're visiting lake tekapo or any of the surroundings, just stay here already!

The perfect escape in luxurious accomodations and an environment typifying the Cantabrian landscape. Thoughtfully and exceptionally well considered accomodation with all you would expect but with minimal environmental footprint - just what I needed to get away and disconnect. Plenty of amazing tramps/hikes across beautiful landscape with amazing and responsive team. 100% recommend: I’ll definitely be returning!

This was my second stay at Somers Holiday Cottage, and once again, everything was just perfect. The cottage was spotless and well-prepared, with a clean, fully equipped kitchen that made cooking a breeze. The heat pump kept the place warm and cozy, even on cooler evenings. I especially enjoyed the spacious garden and the peaceful surroundings—it’s such a relaxing spot. The quiet road nearby was ideal for my evening jogs, which I really looked forward to. A lovely bonus this time was being able to pick some delicious apples! Thank you, Leonie and Peter, for another wonderful stay. I’ll definitely be back again.

Great house having enough beds for 6 singles to not have to share. Very warm with the fire going. Lovely comfortable clean & tidy house/section. Thanks for having us to stay.
