Barranquismo en un increíble cañón en privado
First you’ll buckle up—we’ll pick you up in a UTV and start the adventure well before you canyoneer through the canyons. Then you’ll buckle in—once we arrive on the east side of Zion, you’ll learn how to safely rappel these secret slots with a licensed team of guides there to hold your rope (and your hand). With private access to the slots, you’ll get to hike, canyoneer, and rappel the world in between. Bring your camera so you can capture all your Indiana Jones-style adventure. Our group sizes remain small unless you book one large group altogether:-) Other things to note Bring your camera, hiking clothes and boots, snacks, and water, and we will take care of the rest! Water may be present in the slot canyons. If your group size is greater than 10, please message me.

Relájate mientras ordeñas a las vacas
We will teach you how to milk a cow. *At the beginning we allow you time to spend with the animals. Petting, brushing, or just hanging out with them. *Next we take you through what we feed our animals and how we care for them. We can talk about what goes into the cleanliness of the process and getting everything ready. *We will then go through the experience of milking the cow (whether by hand or with the machine, you decide). Allowing you to do as much of the work as you feel comfortable with. *Afterwards we will strain the milk and get it cooled and clean up. *Before you leave we will give you the opportunity to taste any of the products from our farm with the option to purchase milk at a 50% discount. *Congrats! You will have milked a cow!
Taller de soplado de vidrio
While visiting the artist's studio, you learn the process of blowing glass, and basic glassblowing techniques including taking a gather, marvering, blow'n-cap, and shaping glass. The workshop is very hands-on, focused on the process instead of the final product. With experienced glass artists, you make 2 to 3 small objects such as a paperweight, ornament/float, and/or drinking glass, to take home. Glassblowing is a team work. We strongly recommend to experience this with another person. If you are solo, you may still book a spot. However, the single booker should expect to finish earlier. Best to wear a cotton top and cotton pants. Open-toed shoes are not allowed. Please bring a pair of sunglasses with you. Be prepared to be hot and sweaty, and to have fun! BYOB if you like. We can be flexible. Feel free to reach out to us to schedule a specific date and time or a private group if you don't see it on our calendar. Other things to note... Your pieces will be ready to be picked up in 24 hours. Shipping available with additional fee.
Los dinosauros de Utah
We'll begin with an in-depth tour of our Past Worlds gallery and end with a behind-the-scenes visit inside our Paleo Lab. In the gallery, we will talk about dinosaurs found in Utah (some known exclusively from our own collections) and explore the ecosystems and adaptations that make these animals so fascinating. Inside the Paleo Lab, we will get a sneak peek at the projects that our paleontology volunteers are working on and learn about the techniques used to prepare our most recent discoveries. The tour is for adults and teens 13 years or older. Minors must be accompanied by an adult. Maximum number of participants is 10. Admission is complementary with purchase of the experience. Admission fees cannot be deducted from the package price. Tour length is approximately 2 hours or so, depending on group discussions. Face masks are optional and not required.
Este bambú es la caña
A fly rod is built in the same way that bamboo grows. From the bottom, or butt, to the tip. You will remove a node from a 12' culm of Tonkin bamboo, using a small hack saw, as the first step in seeing how a custom 8' node-less fly rod is made. Then you will split one of 72 splints needed to form the tip or butt of the rod with a hammer and knife. You will scarf one splint to shape it for gluing. Fancy planing, shaping the cork handle, and silk wrapping will be demonstrated along with the final varnish dip. At the end of the class you are invited to cast a variety of rods that I have made with a casting lesson on the "green river" of my lawn. In 2 hours you will see how the rod is made but you will not build a completed rod -- my first rod took me 100 hours. Other things to note Wear comfortable clothes that you don't mind getting dirty. If you have a favorite fly reel that you want to try on a finished rod bring it along.

Recorrido desde el aire por el Gran Lago Salado
On this unique, adventurous experience you will get a a birds eye view of The Great Salt Lake that puts into perspective the scale and beauty of this top Utah attraction. What would take a full day to see by car, we will squeeze into an action packed 40 minute flight. The GSL is an iconic landmark and you will see views that have been constantly evolving since it’s creation during the Bonneville flood over 14,500 years ago! One of the benefits of visiting the lake by air is we have no negative ecological impact. The sensitive eco-system is able to grow and evolve as if we were never there. You will see many of the animals that call the Great Salt Lake home such as antelope, buffalo, deer, coyote, and even eagles. Upon meeting at the airport I will escort you to our trusty steed, a vintage Cessna Bush-plane straight out of Alaska. The airplane we will be using is one of the greatest tools for exploring the local area and you are guaranteed a flight you will never forget. After a quick safety briefing we will get in the plane, buckle up, and begin our adventure. Half of the flight will be up high with expansive views, and the other half will be "low and slow" where you will feel like we are in a flying car. With four seats there is room for the pilot and three passengers each flight.

Ruta en kayak bioluminiscente
BIOLUMINESCENCE KAYAK TOUR $140 per person The Bioluminescence Tour gives us a surreal experience. Living organisms produce light, causing the water to glow and sparkle like a cosmic mirror. Any motion in the ocean waters accents this offering, a dance of light as we paddle in darkness. In our experience a kayak tour offers the best way to experience this magic as we move through the night in silence, also motorboats can harm the plankton which are a keystone species for ocean health. Our focus is on safety and fun as we witness the ocean in a unique way that few have had the opportunity to enjoy. The silence opens our senses as we glide through the water almost as if we are flying – a beautiful way to connect with the mysteries and wonders of nature. Watch the ocean floor come alive below and around you, see the glow on the fish and seals. As the sunlight fades silhouetting the BC Coast Mountain range, bats swirl above, heron and other birds head to their roosting spots. Only a short distance from the Backeddy Resort we melt into the night behind the Sutton Islands, away from the lights on shore. We explore with our sensory awareness and encourage you to feel with an open heart. Things to note: See Metta eco experiences website for details, tour times will vary based on time of year. We provide updates on the exact times. Our tours provide a safe and fun adventure.

(Minimum 2, maximum 6 guests) Other things to note 5-7, 6-8 or 7-9pm - Hours are adjustable Grown Dogs Welcome Masks not required in our region at this time.
Aprende astrofotografía en las Rocosas
Experience Colorado Astrophotography by taking breathtaking photos of the stars against the Rocky Mountains. The night photography tours are usually about 3 hours and begin within an hour of sunset. We have access to Colorado's greatest parks and know all the hidden back roads that have some of the most stunning views. Please look up moon phase and rise/set times. We can still go when the moon is out, it just dilutes the amount of stars captured, but we can get stars in any condition other than rain or snow. I have a Toyota 4 runner that fits 6 guests and we go to Guanella pass. You can bring your own DSLR camera or we will provide one for you. If you bring your own, please email us so we can make sure you have the right type of lens you need for optimal use. We have been recognized as one of Thrillist's top 50 experiences in the world as well as recognition from Matador magazine, and Voyage magazine. We drive about 30-40 min into the darkness, then spend another 30min getting cameras on their best settings. Then we take amazing photos and ask any questions about the camera or astronomy that may come up. We stay close to the car, and I teach you how to take optimal photos. We return home with amazing photos. Other things to note If mountain driving scares you, just let me know and we can keep it to paved roads.

Custom Crafted Portland Adventures
A novel type of hike for those seeking a different perspective of Portland’s SW quadrant. Meet up in a local park (Lair Hill) and depending on guests abilities, desires and weather conditions we have a few choices. We have six available routes to choose from starting at the park, each an entirely different experience and with a wide variation in difficulty. Host will share relevant ecology information and mindfulness practices. Once hike is complete we’ll head over to eat some ultra delicious local cuisine at one of the many eateries available nearby. Events are not intended to be physically strenuous but can be depending on guest preference. Intention here is to focus on allowing yourself to become completely immersed in the natural world around you or to find peace among the chaos of everyday life and to learn methods to keep it with you. Like life nothing is static but always in motion and forever changing, our groups will not likely be the same way twice. I will do my best to adapt these walks to the changes of the seasons both in our natural world and within our own selves by providing up to date and current information about local florae and eateries! Afterwards, I hope you come away with a greater appreciation for yourself, life and the awareness we have been gifted with, along with inspiration to share what you’ve learned with others within your own communities.
Ruta entre secuoyas bohemias
A visit to our own private redwood grove. Locked away in a private family trust for over one hundred years and located on the grounds of a private camp from the 1800s, sits the Bohemian Redwoods. This special property is located not far off the Bohemian highway in west Sonoma near the Russian river at the border of Camp Meeker and Monte Rio. Our property is adjacent to over 500 acres of redwoods donated to the county of Sonoma in 2020. You will have the unique opportunity to chill on our property, featuring acres of redwoods, hear a little history, and then access a 2 mile hiking loop onto Sonoma County Park land, directly adjacent to our land. This is a once in a lifetime venue, adjacent to world class hiking. Hiking is medium challenge - some relatively steep and windy climbs, but definitely doable for a beginner or first timer.
Lugares de culto históricos de Salt Lake
This walking tour in Salt Lake City visits eight magnificent religious edifices, none of them home to Utah’s predominant religion. Not long after the Mormon Pioneers, members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, arrived in the Salt Lake Valley, people of other faiths came too. During the forty-year construction of the Salt Lake Temple, a red sandstone Episcopal cathedral was built a couple of blocks away. Not long after the temple was completed, a magnificent Catholic cathedral opened nearby as well as a lovely Presbyterian church. On this tour, learn the stories behind theses historic religious structures, their architecture, and more. We'll see: •St. Mark's Cathedral (Episcopalian, 1871) •Cathedral of the Madeleine (Catholic, 1909) •First Presbyterian Church of Salt Lake City (1905) •Immanuel Baptist Church (1911), now Anthony's Fine Art and Antiques •Historic B'nai Israel Temple (1891), now a private design firm •Iglesia La Luz del Mundo (former First Church of Christ Scientist, 1898) •Saints Peter and Paul Orthodox Christian Church (former Congregation Montefiore Synagogue, 1903) •First United Methodist Church (1905) I have connected with the churches and businesses on our tour. Some have graciously agreed to let us go inside, depending on their availability. I hope the architecture and stories inspire you as you glimpse into the diversity that is Utah

Paseo a caballo por el este de Zion
This tour combines two of Southern Utah's most popular activities: exploring scenic slot canyons and horseback riding. First we will climb into the saddle at the stables and conduct a brief riding lesson for the inexperienced riders. No need to worry if you are a beginner, we have years of experience and reserve the best trained horses for our guests. Our ride will take us to the mouth of a beautiful slot canyon where we will dismount and walk a short distance into the canyon. This incredible sandstone formation is very narrow with walls towering several hundred feet high on either side. East Zion is the home to world class slot canyons that can be found nowhere else! Following this stop, riders will again get in the saddle and ride back to the starting point. You will be led by a local guide with years of horse riding experience that will also share the rich cowboy history of small town Orderville that continues to live on today. We hope all of our guests are able to have an experience that is long lasting and impactful. We believe this is achieved when we can connect with guests in Entertaining, Educational, and Emotional ways. This is a great activity that is one of our most popular among guests. Don't miss your chance to horseback ride in East Zion! Saddle Up!
